This is the classic VR17 which revolutionized the ski industry with its wet fiberglass wrap torsion box construction.

Prior to this ski the industry used dry sheets of fiberglass laminated to the wood core with glue.

Jean-Claude Killy won in 1967-68 mainly on these skis.

The VR17, was the first fibreglass ski that could be used for men's racing, and quickly took over that market.
